Hi, I'm
Kaycee.

Kaycee Johnson, LMT · NY License #028698

I graduated from Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in December 2014 and became board certified in 2015. Since then, I have worked in several spas throughout Rochester, where I felt many clients were not able to experience a true connection with me and the level of care I had to offer. Those experiences helped shape my passion for a more holistic, back-to-basics approach to care. and recently opening Kayelement Massage Therapy!
Working as a chiropractic assistant further strengthened my belief that routine chiropractic adjustments combined with massage therapy, proper nutrition, and staying grounded are all important pieces of keeping the body functioning at its best.

Every person who comes into my space deserves dedicated one-on-one time to ask questions, assess concerns, and dive deeper into the root causes of problem areas with compassion, focus, and care tailored to their unique needs. At the heart of everything I do is a deep respect for intentional, hands-on care; creating space for restoration, balance, and reconnection in a setting that feels both professional and comfortably lived-in. This isn’t your typical spa experience — it’s a collaborative, therapeutic journey.

My practice is based out of my home, which serves as a calm, welcoming treatment space shared with my Golden Retriever, Nillie, and three cats; Greyson, Heron, and Atlas. Their presence brings a grounded, comforting energy to the environment and adds to the sense of ease and authenticity that clients experience here, making each session feel personal, relaxed, and connected to everyday life.

Because the space is a shared home environment with animals, it may not be suitable for those with allergies to dogs or cats.
If you have any questions about the space, just let me know in advance and I'll happily try to accommodate.

Off the table

Life beyond the studio.

When I’m not working as a massage therapist, you can usually find me out exploring Rochester with my husband Sage and our Golden Retriever, Nillie. Whether it’s discovering a new local restaurant, revisiting a favorite spot, or just taking a slow evening walk with no real destination. I’ve always believed that some of the best parts of life are found in these in-between moments: good conversation, good food, and a change of scenery with the people (and pup) you love most.

Food is a big part of my world—not just eating it, but creating it. I love cooking at home, experimenting with flavors, and turning simple ingredients into something comforting and memorable. I won’t lie though...the dishes that follow are not my favorite part of the process. Still, there’s something grounding about cooking that keeps me coming back to it. It’s one of the ways I unwind, reset, and take care of the people around me.

When I’m not in the kitchen or on the move, I’m usually deep into a fiction thriller (something I can get lost in for hours!), where every chapter pulls me a little further from reality. Lately, I’ve also developed a growing love for gardening and herbal work. There’s something incredibly rewarding about nurturing plants from soil to harvest and then turning them into handmade salves. It feels like a natural extension of my work in massage therapy—rooted in care, intention, and a respect for the body and what nourishes it.

At the heart of everything I do is a love for hands-on living: cooking, creating, exploring, and learning. Whether I’m working with clients, tending a garden, or chasing down a great meal in town, I’m always looking for ways to stay connected—to people, to nature, and to the simple things that make life feel full.
